What is your minimum order quantity?

Belleza accepts a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces per style, per colour. That is low enough for a capsule collection, a market test or a first production run. Some specialty fabrics and custom-dyed yarns carry their own mill minimums above 50 pieces. We tell you before you commit, not after.

Can you make fewer than 50 pieces?

Belleza can sometimes make fewer than 50 pieces of a style, depending on the style and the fabric. Our standard minimum is 50 pieces per style, per colour. Tell us the quantity you have in mind and we will say plainly whether we can do it and what it changes.

Can I mix sizes and colours within one style?

Sizes can be mixed freely within one style, but each colour counts on its own: the 50-piece minimum applies per style and per colour. A typical first order is 50 pieces of one style in one colour, split across four or five sizes.

Do you offer full package production or CMT (cut, make, trim)?

Belleza offers both full package production and CMT (cut, make, trim). On a full package order we source the fabric, trims and labels, draft the pattern and deliver finished, packed garments. On a CMT order you supply the fabric, and we cut, sew, finish and pack. Pattern making is part of either, and many clients mix the two — their own fabric, our trims and labels.

Can you make private label clothing with our own labels and packaging?

Belleza makes private label clothing with your own labels, tags and packaging. We source and attach woven main labels, size labels, care labels, hang tags and stickers, and pack in polybags or tissue to your specification, so garments arrive ready to sell. Label makers set their own minimums; we tell you what they are when we quote.

How much does a sample cost, and what does it include?

Samples are quoted per style, and the quote includes the fabric and trims. If a sample misses the agreed spec because of us, we remake it at no charge; a further sample for changes to the design is charged. When the style goes into production, part of the sampling cost is credited against the order.

What happens between the first sample and bulk production?

Most styles go through a first sample, a fit sample and a pre-production sample. At each stage we send photographs — front, back and side on the form — and video on request, and nothing is cut for production until you approve the pre-production sample.

Do you help with design and pattern development?

Belleza helps with design and pattern development: patterns are drafted in house on CAD, and we advise on fabric and construction. You can send a finished tech pack, a sketch, a mood board, or a garment you already own, and we send photographs at each stage before anything is cut.

What sizes can you make? Can you grade to our size chart?

We grade to your size chart and grade rules, or from our own if you do not have them. Extended and petite ranges are fine, and size labels can be combined, such as XS/S, where a style spans two sizes.

Can you source the fabric, or do I have to supply it?

Belleza sources the fabric for most orders, and you are welcome to ship your own or nominate a mill. We are in Hangzhou, next to China's largest textile markets. In wovens we regularly work with satin, crepe, chiffon, linen, cotton, viscose, Tencel and cupro, stretch wovens, denim, corduroy, faux leather, faux fur and blended wovens; in knitwear, with cotton, cotton-cashmere, merino, wool, cashmere blends, mohair, silk blends, viscose, Lurex, acrylic, nylon and novelty yarns. We also develop print, jacquard, stripe and chiffon qualities. Swatches and knit-downs come to you before sampling.

What garment types do you manufacture?

Belleza manufactures womenswear in three groups: woven, jersey and knitwear. Woven is the bulk of what we do — dresses, blouses, shirts, skirts, trousers, light jackets and tailoring. Jersey covers t-shirts, sweatshirts and tops; knitwear covers sweaters, cardigans, knit dresses and knit jackets, 5GG–14GG.

Can you do pleating, lace, sequins and embroidery?

Belleza regularly takes on pleating, lace, sequins and embroidery, and also lined garments, ruffles, piping, mesh and tulle insets, and tailoring. In knitwear: cable knits, textured knits, jacquard knits, tailored knit jackets, custom-dyed yarn and knit-downs before sampling. Some finishes suit some fabrics better than others — pleats hold differently on different blends — and we tell you before sampling, not after.

How is pricing worked out? Does the unit price drop with quantity?

Every style is quoted individually. The unit price depends on the fabric, the construction, the trims and the quantity, and it comes down as the quantity goes up, because pattern, set-up and fabric minimums are spread over more pieces. Ask for prices at more than one quantity and we will quote each.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms depend on the order — its size, its value and how long we have worked together. The usual structure is a deposit before production starts and the balance before shipment, by bank transfer, and the exact terms are set out in writing with your quote.

How do you ship to the US, Europe and the UK? Who pays the duties?

Belleza ships worldwide: samples and small orders by express courier, larger orders by air or sea freight. Couriers are DHL, FedEx or UPS, on our account or yours, and freight goes through our forwarder or one you nominate. Duties-paid delivery to your door can be arranged, so the landed cost is known before you order.

Which markets do you already work with?

Belleza produces for independent brands and labels in the United States, Spain, France and the United Kingdom, including clients who have been with us for several years and several seasons a year.

Are you a factory or a trading company?

Belleza is a manufacturer. Our own workshop in Hangzhou runs 8–10 skilled machinists with a full range of sewing machines, an in-house CAD pattern system and our own cutting bed. You deal with the people who make the garment.

Will my designs stay confidential?

Your designs stay confidential: Belleza does not publish client names and does not show one client's styles to another, which is why there are no brand logos anywhere on this site. We sign NDAs on request.

Do you close for Chinese New Year?

Belleza closes over Chinese New Year, like the rest of China's textile industry, and fabric mills tend to reopen more slowly than the workshop does. We confirm the closing dates well in advance each year, so orders due around January and February can be planned around them.
